Very nice work, is working well day after day, but i still pushing for a fundamental feature, you should implement the “similar strategy dismissal”.
I’m working a lot with genetic evolution (is more fast, and found strategy totally different from only random) but, at the end the strategy are more or less correlated, with a correlation between 0,8 and 1, so 10k strategies more or less identical!!

I don’t think is too complex to implement, every strategy that pass the normal dissmiss rules it must be compared with all the databank, comparing pseudo code (so smilar rules), and comparing data from the column, for example if the fitness, the net profit and the drawdown (for example) are similiar by using a simple correlation function, with a value more of 0.6, the strategy is similar and it should be rejcted.

It is more complex to explain here than to coding, for sure. I hope you will welcome my request, reminding you that you are changing the lives of many people. Thanks.

I had the same problem and it only worked when I uninstalled the previous version.

In my case, I copied to the Desktop the “data” folder that is in “user” folder. After installing the new version, I closed the program and replaced the data folder with that one I copied before and everything worked like a charm!

And you can do the same thing with the “settings” folder.

Thanks Aprendendo. Earlier I got mine working after downloading/setting up as a new installation into another folder B108 and copied the previous user files from B107 to B108.

Just wondering, if I dont set us as a new installation and download instead as an update, I notice it would be into the same existing folder B107. If so, how do i uninstall the previous B107 version and know which files to uninstall as the new updates are in the same folder?

on the e2670 machine, the second day the SQx108 window become white and not able to recover.

Does anyone know why sq x creates fewer and fewer strategies per hour over time?

I started 4 hours ago with about 2200.

this is not normal, could you open a task in our task system and attach your build settings there? It could be that (depending on your cross checks) more strategies pass to the latter and more time-consuming cross checks, so it takes longer time to finish every strategy evaluation.

But there could be also some other reason.

Similar strategy dismissal – I’ll post a comment to the task.
It shouldn’t be so difficult to implement.

I have a question, during the genetic evolution in the dismissal stat appears “initial population” what this means? Is weird because is inside the “dismissal” but the initial population is something that is not dismissed, some correct explanations? Thanks.

Further update:

Until Build 108, I could not run SQ for any length of time before it hit max CPU and memory cap and freeze. Now seems the memory issue has been addressed and has run over the weekend without problem. Before I could not run asymmetric configuration, now I can. May be we are getting there….to the promised SQ Land!

I will start retester – fingers crossed.

it is there because all strategies are sent from genetic evolution to the main engine, including the ones in initial population. But initial population of strategies is not saved into databank (because they have their own separate filters and no cross checks), so they are all dismissed.

Now that I think about it we should not send initial population strategies to the main engine at all, and save  some computing power required for handling it.

I am a new customer (mainly because of the new SQ X; For this I also do some tasks).

I have the following plan until the Wizzard of SQX and SQX works to start with my EA creation:

A. I create my EA in SQ3 as far as that without DLL support, without multitimeframes is possible B. If the Algo-Wizzard, SQX-Wizard works (January to June 2019) then I will copy and improve my EA in these.

From my point of view and experience, SQ3 and sq x will be two different tools with different ergebenissen, since they are done on diffenernzierten calculations, changed Indikatorenbasen. So there will be no 1:1 results.

I hope, however, that the base of the SQ X, the SQ-Wizzard will soon work so far that Multitimeframes can be tested. That we will be a new challenge for the builder?
It would therefore be positive that new customers could create a first SQ X-ea.

I think it’s great that already many of my improvements and bugs for the Wizzard are implemented or solved and am looking forward for further the tasks to set. I’m holding back here. If the previous tasks should be done then you could create a first EA in the Algo-Wizzard of the SQ X. This is the basis for testing the new engine.
