I found that the font on the interface of sq is very unfriendly and looks very vague. It feels that sq defines the various elements of the interface instead of using the definition of the system itself. I searched the forum and found that some people mentioned this before. It seems to be related to gpu, but the current version does not have this option, I hope the next update can solve this problem, thank you

Hi Marc …I’ve read some previous threads between yourself and other members regarding what is included in the StrategyQuant X Professional for users that purchased the Pro license before 15.10.2018.

For these users (which includes myself with 2 Pro licences purchased before 15.10.2018) can you please confirm they have the following:

–  Lifetime Support:

o   Members will be entitled to lifetime support to all features and modules in the SQX Pro version.

–  EA Wizard:

o   Lifetime Full licence included.

–  AlgoWizard:

o   Will always be included in the StrategyQuant X Pro version. If ever it is removed from this product then a stand-alone lifetime full licence will be included for SQX Pro users.

–  Lifetime updates/upgrades:

o   Members will be able to upgrade to the latest Pro version with all the modules that are a part of SQX Pro at the time of upgrade.

Previously you confirmed most of the new planned features will be included in SQX, including new features like Optimization profile, Parameter permutation method, output for NinjaTrader, Neural Networks trainer.

However, outside of the above if there would be some paid addons in the future they will be not a part of standard SQX package and hence not a part of the Pro upgrade.

For licenses purchased after 15.10.2018 the upgrades and support are for one year and can be extended every year for a fee.

If you have purchased your license before 15.10.2018 you have Pro license with lifetime updates.
This means all the benefits valid at the time you purchased it:
– lifetime support & upgrades
– lifetime licenses & upgrades for QuantAnalyzer and EA Wizard (and its successor AlgoWizard)

However, be reasonable with the support requests. We cannot provide extensive or time-consuming support for everyone few years from purchase.
I believe you experience that we answer every support email, but if you need something very time consuming, and you purchased license more than year ago, consider paying for extended support.

If you purchased it after the change of our licensing terms then you have:
– Pro license with one year support & upgrades.
– lifetime licenses & upgrades for EA Wizard, QuantAnalyzer, AlgoWizard
– support & upgrades are for one year and can be extended every year for a fee

Ultimate license has some other benefits except lifetime updates, namely lifetime support & upgrades, and all paid additional modules for free.

you can add an menue entry in the SQ 4.X.

So every person can click on his license information and get this special info.

SQ can decide if the version bought bevore 15.10.2018  and give a license text.

I think this question will be asked more time in the future.

I also just wanted to drop another “thank you” to Mark and the whole team for listening to their users to THAT extend! Every bug and almost every feature is getting addressed, even if it means to wait sometime – but that´s clear with the swamp of reports on the bug tracker. Most important is: we are being listened too and are taken serious + they are addressing it. This is pretty unique in the software world as with many applications, bugs are just in there for years and never get fixed or they don´t listen to users and just care about the money. So THANKS AGAIN and hope you´ll keep it up for a long time to come 🙂 Merry Christmas 🙂

Will 116 build update be released today?

unfortunately Build 116 it will be not released today. This will be last upadte before end of the year, and there are stil some serious issues reported that haven’t been fixed.

We decided to fix as many bugs as possible, and test itt hroughoutly before relese, so we postponed release to next Friday.

Geektrader, thank you or nice words. I know you reported a few tasks, we’ll look at them too.

As a user I really appreciate you don’t release any more Builds until these were really checked.

The new SQX features are outstanding and I think they would make a superior piece of software by far comparing to any other competitor, but the list of bugs is so overwhelming and it’s frustrating beeing blocked on a Robustness test and seeing some days later after I (or whoever) reported a bug, other users reported additional bugs increasing such a long list. Some of them “fundamental” bugs as someone said before on another post.

Of course it’s impossible to deliver any software bug free, believe me I know it well because I work on the software business. But it’s not understandable to face so many bugs. That’s a poor quality result, it’s not up to SQX that I’m eager to start to work with.

Fortunatelly SQ3 is still doing its job for me 🙂

Keep up the good work, as a user I’ll try to help reporting any bug I find or suggesting new features. But please be more diligent in the next Builds to come.

yes there are many bugs in sq4.X. The fastest way for mark is not to stop the releases in two weeks intervalls.

It is the best and fasted way to reach the target of an bug free software.

Yes it is frustrating to search and test so many bugs.

But I see the development is going on. I see step by step the growing software. The software is on the right way.

Mark don´t have so much tester to release bug free software. He need at least 3-5 additional tester for this software.

But if we work together and report bugs we have 100 or more tester. It is the fastest way.

Guys, remember, they are small team, so it´s difficult to do big quality checks and as you can see, even a big company like Microsoft fails at that 🙂 The best way is like we have it right now: see it as a beta (still) and report as many bugs as you possibly can. They are fixing all of them as quick as possible (that is the difference to Microsoft, haha) and we get a new release all 2 weeks. Yes, there have been big bugs, but this thing is SO complex like no other platform out there is (and everyone who knows the other products knows that) and is a dream coming true once everything works perfectly. There really is no competition on THAT level. If we look at the last weeks / months, it has made HUGE progress already and most of the biggest bugs are fixed now and the list, while still being long, is addressing less problematic bugs finally. Lets just continue to report every bug for a few more weeks/months and we should really have something rock-stable that works just great.

I agree with GT. SQX now leaps well ahead of any competition in the data mining space and is fantastic value for money…..but you cannot expect such cutting edge software to fix all the bugs given the myriad of relationships and variables involved in the project. Having the project in beta for an extended period of time is unfortunately a necessary evil.

Have a great Christmas everyone. It has been a very busy year for SQ and I just want to send a shout out to them for their fantastic efforts in delivering an amazing platform that seriously gives us retail traders a leg up in the trading game.

Announcement – Build 116 has just been released.

This is a bugfix update from bigger part, as the previous build had some errors introduced wiht the new features. There are also some new features, such as flexible timeframes – cou can create custom timeframe like M17.
