Your full welcome batch is added when your licence activates. Welcome Credits are valid for 12 months. Any new Q credit purchase or Q Plan payment extends the validity of your remaining Welcome Credits to 12 months from the date of that payment.

Instalments: credits over four months

A quarter is added with each of your first four payments. If payments stop, future grants stop. Credits already granted remain available until their expiration date.

A few things
worth knowing.

Do I need a monthly plan?

No. Start with your included welcome credits, then buy one-time packs whenever you need them. Monthly plans offer a lower price per credit for regular use.

Do unused credits expire?

Yes. Monthly Plan Credits expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. Welcome Credits, Purchased Credits and Bonus Credits are valid for 12 months. Any new Q credit purchase or Q Plan payment extends the validity of your remaining Welcome, Purchased and Bonus Credits to 12 months from the date of that payment. Plan Credits are not extended and always expire at the end of their billing period.

What extends the validity of my credits?

Any new Q credit purchase or Q Plan payment extends the validity of all your remaining Welcome, Purchased and Bonus Credits to 12 months from that payment. Monthly Plan Credits are excluded — they always expire at the end of the billing period in which they were granted.

Which credits are used first?

Credits are used in order of expiry, with the credits expiring soonest used first. This means your monthly Plan Credits are normally used before Purchased, Welcome and Bonus Credits.

What happens if I cancel?

You can cancel your monthly plan at any time. Your Plan Credits remain available until the end of the current billing period. Any Welcome, Purchased or Bonus Credits in your balance remain available until their normal expiration date.

Are extra credits more expensive on a plan?

No. Top-ups cost $5 per 1,000 credits for everyone. Your monthly discount applies to the credits included in your plan.

Are AI credits separate from my StrategyQuant licence?

Yes. Credits pay for Q’s AI usage. Your StrategyQuant licence and its renewal are separate. The welcome-credit table above shows what is included with each licence tier.

What happens if I upgrade my licence?

You receive the difference in welcome credits. Upgrading from Starter to Professional adds 2,400 — the gap between 4,800 and 2,400. Paid in full, the difference arrives at once; on instalments it comes in four equal parts with your first four upgrade payments. Welcome credits still scheduled from your original licence keep arriving on their own schedule.

Session outputs may include standard text files as well as files in specific formats created or used during the session, depending on the tools and actions involved. These can include, for example, TXT, SQX, CSV, and other supported file formats.
