Hi,

I have a question regarding data usage,

now the M1 is most memory consuming, but if lets say i only use for generation 2015 out of 2003-2015 data,

does SQ have to run through all of the m1 bar data to get to 2015? (this happens in mt4 i think)

I guess my question is… does it take the same amount of time to generate strategies if i only use a part of the data in the databank or if i used all of it?

(a work around could be import only the part that you want to optimize on… )

The goal here ofcourse is to drastically cut the time of generation down when using small timeframes

all the best,

JB

no, of course it doesn’t go through all the data. SQ loads only the data it needs, so only year 2015 in your case.

So it will be faster if you’ll use smaller data range.
