Hi Marc,

I found a script (attached) that can close trades using the Comments section in orders, but I am struggling to see how I can add this to an EA. Perhaps you can add this as a feature 🙂 .

This would be really useful. For example, if you have 2 or 3 short positions open and the market has suddenly reversed and you want to go long then you would normally have to add Close Position containing a Magic Number for each trade – this is a bit cumbersome. If each short position had “Short” noted in the Comments section then you would just need one Close Position using the identifier of “Short” to close all of the short positions in one go. I am assuming the script will allow the same Comment to be added to the EA for different orders and all of them can be closed all at once.

Thank you,

Jamie

thanks for that, we’d like to add managing orders by comments to one of the future releases of EA Wizard, but it requires changes in many places.

But if you use EA Wizard to trade it isn’t that difficult to close positions by their magic numbers, this is how it should be done.

Or you can use Close all positions if you want to close them all.
