Hi SQ team,

are you sure, that SQ creates H4 candles correctly based on data GMT?

From more sources i know that trades do not match and the only thing which i suspect now is, that SQ makes a mistake in starting/ending H4 candle or in the number of them during 1 week.

So the question is again, are you 100% sure that SQ works properly with H4 candles?

Thank you.

Patrick

Thanks

Hi ofc, i will provide more details.

H4 TF GMT+0 without DST broker, as Ducascopy data for example:

H4 candle starts Sunday 21:00 – Monday 1:00

finish on Friday 17:00 – 21:00

x

H4 TF GMT+2 with DST broker, as Pepperstone, AxiTrader, FXPro, FXOpen, Alpari etc

H4 candle starts on Monday 0:00 – 4:00

last candle in the week is Friday 20:00-00:00 (23:55 eventually)

When i import Ducascopy data in SQ, it will create H4 candle correctly. It will start 21:00-01:00 and finish on Friday with candle 17:00-21:00.

But, (now it starts to be interesting), if i upload GMT+2 data with DST as mentioned before, it will create candles correctly 00:00-04:00 (see attached picture) but problem is, the data has wrong time from TDD. so it start (now in summer) at 3:00 on Monday at finsih 0:400 on Monday (but it should be 0:00-04:00)), so the first candle has lenght of 1 hour instead of 4 hours. This cause, all other H4 candles are wrong. Also for daily candles i think.

So, i would like to ask you, to repair Tick data downloader – Eport data GMT option, to add function which will recompute the time to correct time according to its GMT, so when i will upload the data to SQ, it will start on 0:00 and SQ will after (ofc) create correct D1 and H4 candles. Correction: We should ask Mark how it works, may be SQ creates the H4 candles no matter on time, but according to data beginning, in this case, we need to delete the data for the first hour for GMT+2/3.

You do know my email, contact me and i will explain it to you in Marks native language 🙂 Also, i ask you if you can repair TDD in URGENT mode, the best is if you speak to Mark personally and he will make this in 1-4 weeks.

Thank you very much for pushing this forward, because now SQ 3.8.1. is usable only for M30 and H1 (H4 and probably also D1 is wrong), so it works only for 50%. And do not mention SQ4, because you know that it will be unsusable for real trading for next x months because of another new mistakes.

Patrick

PS: TDD when it exports directly H4, its also wrong.

I think it make sense to fix this problem in SQ 3.8.1. This is the stable version of SQ.

Hi Tomas, do you think Mark will have time to change the TDD/SQ 3.8.1?

Thanks.
