AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Octa-Core vs Intel® Core™ i7-8700 Hexa-Core

Hi guys,

I need your opinion, which of following dedicated server is better:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Octa-Core, 64 GB DDR4, 2x 512 GB SSD

or

Intel® Core™ i7-8700 Hexa-Core, 64 GB DDR4, 2x 512 GB NVMe

Through virtualization I want create a virtual server to use for trading and the rest dedicated to StrategyQuant, is it possible? And which of the two options is better?

AMD has more cores but in all CPU tests I checked it seems Intel is more powerful, it has higher turbo speed.
I would go with Intel.

Also, NVMe should be faster than SSD.

I read in other post that you use Hetzner servers, what can you tell me about uptime?

It is indicated for live trading as well?
