Backtesting MQL EA in Optimizer

Hi,

I just new to the program and would like to import and backtest/optimise an existing Expert Advisor file (.MQL) for MT4. It does not appear that you can import a file of this type.

Is there a process I need to follow to convert the file to .STR and begin backtesting and optimizing. I have had a look over the tutorials and it does not seem obvious.

Hi Mick,

you cannot do that unfortunately. But if you understand the strategy rules / conditions you will be most likely create the strategy using AlgoWizard. That will give you full flexibility regarding improving, modification and optimization of your strategy
