Deploying strategies on futures

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips, or point me to some resources worth reading for deploying strategies on monthly a quarterly futures contracts.

My main area of interest is using continuous data, but executing the trades on the monthly/quarterly.

Any info or resources would be appreciated for best practices to handle this.
