Export to CSV vs MT4

Hi,

My MT4 installation is on a different computer – can I just export to CSV and then import via Tools – History Center in MT4?

How should I export it to get best results in MT4? Can I upload the tick data, or do I have to do M1 / M5?

Alternatively, can I install Quant data manager on the VPS and copy the data that I have downloaded across, add it to Quant somehow and then export it to the running MT4?
