Hello
I would like to know How do I use my EA on a different currency base account?
In SQX, EA development is based on USD accounts.
But if I want to use the EA on accounts with other base currencies such as GBP, EUR , THB, is it possible or not? If yes, how can it be done? Someone who knows please help fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

You can use the developed strategies in any account, regardless the currency . With a bit of attention:
In particular:
– if you use fixed lots MM no modification has to be made, regardless the type of asset you are trading
– if you use other MM systems on Forex everything should also be ok. Just be aware that if you use e.g Fixed Amount your risked money is the currency of your account (e.g if you put “200” in the EA settings in MT4/5 and you account is in Euros, you are risking 200 Euros. Seems trivial but to be sure you should check the Broker’s settings of the tick value and currency.
– For not-Forex assets, you must check the tick value and currency of the assets you are trading. Eg. if you are trading a US Index, normally the tick value is in Dollars, so if you put “200” in the MT4/MT5 EA you are risking Dollars and not Euros, even though your account is in Euros.

Thank you for answering my question. It helps a lot.
I’m a newbie to this. And your advice is very helpful.

You are welcome.
This is one of the topics that most of the users (including myself) underestimate at the beginning.
More generally speaking, I suggest you understand very well your Broker’s settings and you configure your Instrument’s settings in the Data Managers accordingly in SQX, if you want to have reliable results.
There are useful hints by Tomas in the Forum around this subject
