Saved a strategy from StrategyQuant (Mac version). Tried to import it into TradeStation and got the following error:

“You don’t have permission to open this file.”

Question #1: The export file has an “.el” extension. Why does it not have an “.eld” extension?
Question #2: How do I resolve the import problem?

thanks!

Hello,

you can easy copy the code into a clipboard and paste into a text file and then paste into a new blank file made in EasyLanguage editor

Yes I did that, but was missing the SQ custom indicators. Is there a way to extract the indicator code without having to export/import the el/eld files?

First you need to import SQ.ELD indicators as shown here https://strategyquant.com/doc/strategyquant/installation/#tradestation

Then you can see the code in EL editor (Open -> Indicator)
