To multi-symbol or not?

I’m new to SQ and have initially been experimenting with strategy building with multi-symbol build configurations. For example with a stock symbol and a higher time frame Index that it resides in. Overall trying to use symbols that have some correlation.

In your experience do you find that these kind of builds generally perform better than single symbol strategies?
