Does SQX performance support GPU now? any differences it works between Intel or AMD CPU? Which one is better as i will recently purchase a PC for SQX.

it’s been discussed many times. The GPU unit is not the best option for genetic programming calculation used in StrategyQuantX. Nevertheless the request has been made already here https://roadmap.strategyquant.com/tasks/sq4_2985 so you can upvote. Nowadays user prefer using server CPU with tens of cores that work really well with overall speed and performance

Hello, as testing I saw the software is using cpu cores for generating and testing strategies.
It will be 100 times faster if using GPUs instead of CPUs… so far I only saw this リンク, but it isonly used for visualization purposes (GPU Acceleration).

Do you have such functionality or do you intend on making such?
I tested your product 2 years ago and now started testing it again. I would like to create a wonderful SEO optimized affiliate site for the StrategyQuant, targeting Forex traders. I traded since 2010, trying various strategies and developing my own EAs. Market is huge and most traders aren’t aware of your product. Very excited with the opportunity! But GPU strategy processing instead of CPU will bring tons of new clients!

こんにちは！

最近、ゲーム用のPCを大幅に改造したのですが、問題が発生しています。.

私の以前のセットアップは、i7-6700k（4.5 GHzでOC）、MSI Gaming M7 z270、MSI Gaming RTZ 2070 Super、32 GB（3200 MHz）のVengeance LPX RAMでした。.

しかし、私はRyzen 7 5800x（OCで4.9GHz）とAorus x570 Ultra（新しいクーラーとケースも付属）を購入し、同じドライブ、RAM、PSUをそのまま使用しました。.

以前のセットアップでは、Borderlands 3のフレームレートは安定して90~120fpsでした。しかし、今回のセットアップでは60~70fpsの範囲で遊べています。ゲーム内ベンチマークを実行したところ、以前のセットアップでは99.xxの平均フレームレートを得ました。新しいセットアップでは同じゲーム内ベンチマークを実行したところ、75.xxの平均フレームレートが得られました。.

これに加えて、CPUとGPUの両方をベンチマークテストしました（何も変わっていないことを確認するため）。同様の構成で得られた結果は非常に近いものでした。.

新しい Zen 3 Ryzen のシングルコア性能はより良いと思ったのですが、Modded Skyrim や Dying Light でも FPS が低くなります。.

もし誰かが、なぜこれが起こっているのかが分かるような気がしたら、教えてください！

こんにちは。Mac OSXでうまく動作します。試すことができるのは、SQXの「設定」→「トラブルシューティング」でGPUアクセラレーションを無効にすることです……

Tornado VM & Graal VM

Hi to the Geeks out there,

Has anybody tried to combine Tornado VM (https://www.tornadovm.org/technology) with Graal VM?

The advantage would be that Strategy Quant would be running on your GPU and could result in better performance?

I can’t get Graal VM running on Windows so this is clearly above my competency level.

Would be interesting to benchmark the difference between running Strategy Quant on Windows, within Graal VM and Tornado and Graal VM.

we will not be adding support for GPU in near future. CPUs are strong enough to produce results. GPUs are not suitable for SQX computations. This has already been discussed many times. Follow here for example https://strategyquant.com/forum/topic/when-will-sq-add-gpu-thread-work/

Is there any way to force SQX to use GPU? If the number of cores matters? One GPU has about 3500 cores +12GB RAM, 10 GPU…. Or maybe it makes no sense, I don’t know, I was just passing through 🙂

I’m trying to compute StdDev from High-Low.
Maybe this custom block will be a sufficient comparison, but not exactly the same.

Edit: I’ve isolated the issue but am still unsure of the reasoning.

 

Essentially:  Having a set “limit time range for signals” toggle on with UTC data doesn’t limit the amount of trades that EA being generated takes.

However, having it toggled on for EST + 7 converted data stops the vast majority of all trades (i.e. every EA built only has 0-3 trades taken over a ten year period).  Is there some obvious reasoning I’m missing as to why it is behaving this way?  Thanks!

You connect fx blue to your account, go to your link

My SQ is not performing as fast as I would expect, at the moment my Builder is generating 7,721 strategies/hour and the time per accepted strat is 13 min. I’m not sure if the performance can be improved with better hardware of by changing the settings on the Builder and SQ. Below please find my system’s hardware info. Please let me know what SQ or Builder info I should provide as well.

Any guidance from the forum and/or SQ staff on how to improve performance will be immensely appreciated.

System info: 

CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 0 @ 2.00GHz, 2001 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

RAM: 32 GB

GPU: NVIDIA Quadro 2000

Disk: 500GB SSD
