Most fragile PC hardware for SQ

Hello,

 Would like to ask what is most important for SQ in PC hardware.

From my study I see that most fragile is processor, but also amount of RAM seems to be very implrtant in long term.

Firstly I thought that HDD will be mostly used hardware here, but not necessary. 

What are Your expirience in this thread? 

Processor speed and number of cores is the most important factor in generation and backtesting process.

You need to have at least 4 GB RAM, if you have 8 or 16 GB it is more than enough.

Generation process doesn’t use HDD that much, unless you use real tick data for testing.

So the most important factor for speed is the processor.

And of course stability of your computer (ie. it doesn’t overheat).

@Mark – Does SQ checkpoint at various times so that if a computer reboots due to crash or overheating, it can pickup roughly where it left off?

Of course I use “real tick”. So does HDD is more used then?
