Load strategy

Hi,

Can we load strategies in .TXT, .MQ4 or even .SQW (which is the format used in EA wizard)?

It seems only .STR format works

no, StrategyQuant supports only its own strategy format. It currently doesn’t support strategies from EA Wizard. It is because EA Wizard allows you to create much more flexible strategies, while SQ uses fixed strategy format.

I am quite impressed with the SQ3.8,

Will SQ4  be able to load strategy already developed (mq4,….)?
 

I am afraid this is very difficult to achieve and won’t be included in next version of SQ

SQ4 won’t be able to load existing MT4 strategy, but it will be possible to recreate the strategy using strategy editor/wizard.

This possibility is there already, but the strategy editor in SQ 3 is limited and uses fixed format, in SQ 4 it will be much more flexible.
