Hello, everyone,

If pip/tick step is 10 (futures data),

the min distance of order from price is set to 20,

It means close position at least 20 point, or 200 point from entry price?

Could Any one tell about this?

And which number  is the  proper  value of min distance of order, usually?

Min distance of order from price is in ticks, so if you set it to 20 it means 20 ticks from entry price.

But you configure tick size using pip/tick size value, not pip/tick step.

What futures data is it that has tick step = 10?

This value is used only in MetaTrader, it is usually between 5 – 20 pips for forex, I don’t know about MT4 setting for futures data.

If you trade with Tradestation or NinjaTrader you can set it to 0.
