Multiple Runs

hello, I was wandering if it is possible to run multiple SQ at same time but with different settings over the same input file.
That might be usefull for later identify the best setting for a given instrument (e.g. eurusd) that produces best data-bank for further selection. It would save a lot of time.

you can run the only instance of StrategyQuant at the same time. I think it wouldn’t save too much time since you have to split CPU to each running instance

Accidentally saw this post tomas, can’t help but to comment:
I saw surprising exception to this with i7-4770 computer, could run two (each one in their own different folder, each sharing one license) and “we” (owner of this computer in sharing project and myself) didn’t see hardly any slowing, even when both are doing 1min resolution for 6yr & 12yr backdatas! This very well could not be true for next lower level computers.

you are right. Forgot this option (install another copy of SQ into a different directory). Definitely worth to try if you have high-end CPU.
