Running SQ for a long time, the folder become more bigger.
Today I find the size of SQ’s folder is 31GB.
Most of this is log files.
So, I del the log files. (every str file have been saved to another partition’s folder)
We can restrain the log folder’s size, by set the logging setting (Tools-Options-General). The default value is 30 days?
But I have a question. Is it necessary that let SQ save log files? I would like to hear Mark’s voice or other experienced users’s viewpoint.

No, it´s not necessary at all. I delete them before EACH and every start of SQ, via a .bat file that first deletes the logs, then starts SQ.

Logs do help when things go wrong and you like to know why, I posted one the other day, still waiting for an answer tho lol

eastpiece, most of the time you won’t need it but once something goes wrong it can be quite handy to have them saved. I personally switched it off
munchie, I forwarded your forum question to Mark. He needs to check it and should let you know

So, we can uncheck “save log messages to file”.
thanks to your experience, geektrader and tomas262.
