Problem Importing Indicator Data from MT4

I’m using the latest version of SQ (3.8.1) on a Windows 7×64 system.

My broker is ICMarkets and I’m having a problem trying to import indicator data from MT4.

It seems that SQ is getting confused with the directories but I could have done something wrong?

I’ve set my MetaTrader directory to: C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets

MT4 build 600+ is ticked

MetaTrader Data folder is set to: C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets\history\ICMarkets-Demo01

When I try to do an automatic import I get this error:

Error!!! Custom Indicator Data – Automatic Import
StrategyQuant is unable to write to C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets\history\ICMarkets-Demo01/MQL4/Experts/5302b212-29a1-4e40-94fa-b8aa766443bb.mq4, the folder is either full or read-only.

The reason it can’t write to it is because the folder doesn’t exist? It should be using: C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets\Experts/…

Is this a bug or has anyone any ideas?

Set your Metatrader Data folder to

C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets

instead of

C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets\history\ICMarkets-Demo01

… and it will work.

Thanks geektrader. I tried that and I got an error saying it couldn’t locate the data.

However, I deleted the indicator and started from scratch and it worked this time 🙂
