Hi there !
I´m using a trial version of SQ.
I´m trying to import stock´s data from Yahoo Finance. What I do is just convert the Yahoo xls format into csv,so SQ can read it.But I´m having trouble with the import…some kind of error parsing on row 1.
Attach a screenshot.
Thanks in advance !

Hello,
error message says you pre-set date format to yyyy.mm.dd while in you CSV you have yyyy-mm-dd
Fix this and it should work

Hi Thomas !
Thanks for your answer.
Changed yyyy.mm.dd –> yyyy-mm-dd but still not working.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance again 😉

Additional set:
“Skip 1 rows 0″ since the file doesn´t start with prices but with declaration of words as you see (Date, open, high, low, close, volume, adj close”. The error message also clearly says exactly that. So if you skip row 1, all will be fine.

Thx Geektrader ,followed your indications to no avail.I keep getting an error message !!
I wonder if quotation marks might be causing the problem.

Open the CSV file or whatever it is in a text editor and remove all quotation marks. Then it will hopefully work.

hello I have the same problem I import the data but they do not appear in the drop-down, if you read them and load them. I am trying to take the data from yahoo finance of the sp500 in diary since 1950 but they do not appear I remove the first row with date, open, high, low, close, volume, adjust close (unused).
I appreciate your help, thank you.

Have you set skip 2 rows?
