I tested 2 platforms and confirmed that the point value are 100 000 base currency.(Maybe some others are different, I am not sure.)
For eurusd now, 1.10418/1.10425 ,1 lot is 100 000 eur, and point value in $ is 110425. (Am I right?)
I am not sure the impacts of point value setting on strategy generating and test. And I keep puzzling over that.
It’s not very appropriate that set the EURUSD’s point value as a fixed number, 110425 ,or something else.
Because from 2000, the EURUSD is from 0.8225 to the top, 1.6038, and now is 1.103x.

Hello,
for EUR/USD the point value is 100,000 USD. The same is valid for pairs like GBP/USD, CHF/USD etc.

Hi, tomas262
It’s not all the same like that.
You can print this in MT4 to confirm that.
DoubleToStr(MarketInfo("",MODE_LOTSIZE), 2)
I have tested 2 brokers(KVB, swissquote), and make sure that KVB’s EURUSD is 100 000 EUR.
Even what your said is right. How about USD/JPYï¼Å¸ Is the fixed point value in more than 10 years proper?

For USDJPY, i put the point value as 1000. To be exact, I believe it is in the 900+ range when I last calculated, though the real value is always changing. So The easy way is to round it up to 1000.
