MAE/MFE wrong by factor 10x for JPY pairs

I use Dukascopy tickdata and export them to csv as minutedata. This works fine for all trades not involving USDJPY (and I suspect JPY in general).

Specifically, after computing open balances I get “DD” of $3000 or more, where MT4 reports $300 or so.

I looked into the problem by studying a specific case, see below.

My conclusion is, that MFE/MAE is actually 10x of the correct values.

I suspect that it has to do with the USDJPY being 1XX.XX whereas usually you have 1.XXXX.

 

This makes SQ unusable to derive portfolios with USDJPY or JPY in general.

Case study:

 

Computed Open Balance with extreme DDs:

MFE is mulitplied by 10x:

In Example the selected trades are 0.05 Lots and they are showed withMAE of s.th. like -$550:
[sharedmedia=core:attachments:3878]

 

With -5$ per 10 Pip the -$550 would be around 1100 Pips !!

 
However, MT4 shows a trading range of 110 Pips (using tickdata!!!):
