“Breakeven add pips” strange behavior or not?

Hi all,

I’ve created 2 exact strategies but the one has the “breakeven add pips” element to it.

1. Why does it open more trades than the one with out?
2.  It seems like the trail stop lags before it kicks in?

Any reasons for point 1 or 2 or is this normal behaviour? or is it just my imagination?

The “breakeven” component is built with a ATR formula and the “breakeven add pips” on the one strategy is a simple variable integer value of 1.

Hi Tomas,

Have not received a mail or an alert from this post to my mails? (maybe a problem with your mail server).

On further analysis this too happens. On both strategies I take partial profits and breakeven with the same ATR formula for example      0.4 * ATR ….

On analysis it breakevens first then only then it takes partial profits. There is a long lag before partial profits is taken?

 

Surly this must be done simultaneously?
