Hello-

I was wondering if I can place a manual trade and then drop an EA on the chart to manage the exit.

I have created one attached but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I made the magic number = 0, since I believe manual trades don’t use them.

Can anyone spot what I did wrong or is it not possible?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

**UPDATE**

More information – the EA is “technically working”.  It tries to close the trade since the criteria is met and the arrow is shown.  But, it says “order cannot be found”.

Hello,

if it does not work with Close Position you can use Close All Positions instead. It is limited to a specific chart only so should not close order for other symbols

I will try close all positions instead.

Is the magic number correct using ZERO with a manual trade?

The “close all positions” did not work.

I believe it MUST be the incorrect magic number.

I know it’s possible to manage a manual trade, since I see other utilities that do it.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi there!
Manual trades has special magic number, if you are using fxblue, you can see what magic number that trade is having.

You connect fx blue to your account, go to your link

<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Hope this helps, I have created multile EA-so far i made all the cost of quant back, so good luck</span>

Thanks Kevin-

It looks like that is the only way.  I guess I thought if you had only 1 trade open it would pick it up.  Other utilities I have seen has a drop down arrow and you select which trade you want to manually control.  But, we can’t do that here.

I appreciate the info!
