I use MT4 in portable mode. I created the fxt files, but somehow tester can not open it.
First the exported filename is SYMBOL+Timeframe+_0. The terminal wannt to open SYMBOL+Timeframe+_2.
I rename it but I get the error see in the attached pic.
I use ICMarket demo.

Thank you.

Hello,

did you follow this guide? https://strategyquant.com/doc/quantdatamanager/test-strategy-metatrader-4-tick-precision/ Make sure you:

  1. create the MT4.properties file and
  2. on export dialog you set a correct Name in MT4 (according to IC broker)

Thank you, now it works. But there is still a small problem. The MetaTrader dont open the HST files stored in the portable folder. I need to open it each time manually after the restart of the terminal, to open the chart after the test. It seems it use the files stored in Terminal folder.

Thank you!

Hi
I am running strategyQuant on my macbook
However my MT4 is installed on a parallel Desktop
Seems complicate to choose the “output folder” (MT4 installation and MT4 data folder)

Is there any solution for that
