No Strategies Generated

I’m just returning to SQ after a year-and-a-half absence and need to re-learn the app.

I changed some of the build settings (just messing around) and was not getting any results, so I clicked Settings>>>restore defaults.

I am still getting no results after a cumulative hour or so of generation. What might I be doing wrong?

At least part of the problem was that I had changed the spread and a couple other parameters. These parameters were not being reset to default values when I chose “restore defaults”.

It is a good practice to have configuration stored into a config file. Do you use StrategyQuant X or the older version?
