OPEN BALANCE USING HIGH MEMORY

Hello,

Im calculating open balances for a portfolio that has many symbols. The QA start to load the M1 data archives but the memory used started to increase a lot. My computer has 8gb and the QA is using now 6,5 GB and start to freeze. I left the pc running overnight and until now don´t finish to calculate the open balances. Is there a way to stop QA to freeze?

Hello,

for a large portfolio the computation can take a long take and memory. I suggest to split the portfolio into multiple parts and test separately. Alternatively you can try to increase your physical RAM and start QA with more memory as shown here https://docs.strategyquant.com/starting-quant-analyzer-with-more-memory
