Hello~
I’m using qdmcli.exe, but I need to access it without putting in a license through the GUI beforehand…
I’ve tried some things, but it seems like this interface will not accept any parameters if it doesn’t find a pre-configured license…
but, in the help.txt (C:\QuantDataManager122\internal\web\QDM) it documents the option:
./qdmcli.exe license=xxxx
I’ve tried on both linux and windows, portable and installed, but on all hosts & versions it refuses any and all parameters, with these as the final lines of output:
PS C:\QuantDataManager122> .\qdmcli.exe license=xxxx #my license is obvi inserted here
13:55:51.295 [main] DEBUG SQLicenser – L: 01234567

How can I register a license on a new QDM instance?
Thank you all in advance 🙂

Hi,
this is supported in SQX only at the moment. We will need to add this into QDM with next update (build 123)

Hi @tomas256,
Thank you so much for your quick reply!
I truly hope that this feature makes it into build 123. Considering QDM’s release track record, can I anticipate build 123 being available in the first quarter of 2024? Or is there already a scheduled release date?
I am not really in a rush, but if it’s much later than that I might need to look into a VNC based solution.
Thank you for your help in advance

Hard to say for now, but Q1 2024 is highly likely

The -license
commands seem to work on build 122.
$QDM_CLI_PATH -license action=info
$QDM_CLI_PATH -license action=update code=YOUR_CODE
