Software “failed to create a desktop short cut and not viewable”

Tried installing StrategyQuant 127 on windows 10 yesterday on new PC. Windows Auto install file will do its things and then kick back and error ” Failed to create a desktop shortcut. Also notice the software is not visible under add and remove programs. Any ideas?

Hello,

do you use the original desktop location installed with Win 10? In this case I am afraid you will need to create the shortcut manually. Navigate to the StrategyQuantX folder and create a shortcut of the StrategyQuantX file

StrategyQuantX will not be visible under “Add and remove” since it is not installed in a traditional way. SQX is simply downloaded and unzipped into the destination folder
