Settings → Trading Options

En Opciones comerciales section allows you to define behavioral rules for strategy execution and testing conditions during backtests. These settings affect how the strategy is executed within the backtesting engine, including trading session management, timing constraints, and execution realism.

Key Options

Exit At End Of Day / Exit On Friday

• Automatically closes all open positions at the end of each trading day or at the end of the week (Friday).
• Prevents overnight or weekend exposure.

Limit Time Range / Time Range From–To / Exit At End Of Range

• Restricts the time window during which the strategy can enter trades.
• Si Exit At End Of Range is enabled, all trades are also closed at the end of the defined time window.
• If disabled, trades remain open even after the time window ends.

Operaciones máximas por día

• Limits the number of trades the strategy can open per trading day.

Minimum / Maximum Stop Loss (SL) & Profit Target (PT)

• Defines the allowed SL and PT range in pips.
• A value of 0 means no limit.
• If a strategy computes an SL/PT outside this range, it will be adjusted to the allowed maximum or minimum.

Sesión

• Defines specific trading sessions for intraday markets (e.g., futures, equities).
• Sessions are managed in the Gestor de datos.

Reserved Bars

• Sets the number of bars to preload before allowing trading to start.
• Recommended value: greater than the period of the largest indicator used.

Realistic Gaps Handling (MetaTrader 4 only)

• Adjusts order execution behavior during price gaps to reflect real trading conditions.
• Prevents unrealistic fills at pre-gap prices and simulates post-gap execution.

• Saves full chart history with indicators and trade markers used during backtest.
• Enables visual strategy review under Results → Trades on Chart.
