Position opened mid-bar when using TradeOnBarOpen EA

I added a new EA to MT4, using SQ’s Trade On Bar Open template, but when I re-launched MT4 it immediately opened a position even though we were half-way through a daily bar.

Why would it do that ?

it seems there is a problem with this – it behaves as you explained – when strategy is placed on chart it immediately open new trade.

Only then it will start working properly and trade only on new bar.

The question is if this is a wrong behavior – when you start your daily EA at mid day it could open position at the current day if the trade conditions are correct.

I would say it is wrong behaviour …. if I missed the start of a trade, by not having the EA on a chart at the start of a bar, then I don’t want the EA to open a position later:it could be a much worse price.

ok, I’ll look into it,but it will be fixed only in the next version.
