Portfolio Master: Genetic Search

Hello

I am using the QA in depth understanding the big power of this program and all the options that has.

I am focused on the Portfolio Master section. Please, could anyone be so kind to explain me how the Genetic Search works? Because when I set this mode, the time to get the resulting portfolios is longer than using Brute Force for the same portfolio settings (#strategies, fitness function, etc.)

Regarding to the fitness function. I have found a snippet in the fórum given by notch very useful. Is it posible to have a snippet for each fitness function? I mean: one for minimal DD, one for max. trades, etc.
