Hi Folks,

I am at my wits end!

I am trying to export to MT4 (FXT & HST) and it ain’t happening.

Can someone please tell me exactly what to do (mini-step by simple mini-step), so that when I try strategy testing say … EURAUD M15 I get 99% quality results?

Please, please, please,

Gordon

Gordon, you can follow our tutorial on MT4 tick data export here https://strategyquant.com/doc/quantdatamanager/test-strategy-metatrader-4-tick-precision/

Sorted.

I deleted all the existing Data for the specific currency pair in MT4.

I exported the Quant Data to MT4

I still had trouble as I was getting an Error 131.

It turned out the account was a Mini account and not a micro account. I was trying to strategy test with 0.001 lots.

All good now.

Thanks for all your help

Hi Everyone, I need help.

I am trying to export tickdata to my MT4 installation on second drive, NOT C drive. The system does not seem to support this because whenever I provide the address to the MT4 installation on the E drive, SQ does not support it. May be I am not providing the addresses correctly.

I would be grateful for any assistance.

Hi,

does it work if you set both path identical?

Hi Tomas

Thanks very much! When the 2 addresses are same it connects. I have managed to export tickdata and tested the hst file. Report – see screenshot. = Modelling Quality n/a ( as hinted in tutorial – may not be significant).

This is how I did it.

Tools > History > EURUSD > 1 minute > Import > H:\Global…..\eurusd1.hst.

This is the only file I saw with the correct date stamp and data range.

Is this the correct way to do it?

I will clone time zones to remove any sources of error and re-run.
