SQX Crashing on windows 10

G’day,

 

I have only recently started using sqx in the last 3-4 weeks, it was working fine for the first 3 weeks now im getting crashes where the whole GUI dies

 

the same work flow ive been using for weeks, im unsure why its crashing. i have attached some dump files from the last install (and the fresh install i did yesterday)

 

If anyone can help i would be greatful as this is driving me nuts, I also tried running with GraalVM and had the same issue

I enabled debug mode (18gb log file) the last few lines are as follows

 

it looks like it just crashed on the generation stage of the workflow. ive attached the latest dump file as well for this run

could you also attach the workflow file (cfx) with the complete log? The best if you save here directly https://roadmap.strategyquant.com/projects/sq4/tasks/new so our dev team can stay in touch directly with you in case additional information are required

You might need to zip the log file since we have max upload size limit applied

you can also let us know to [email protected] whether you still experience the issue. Have you also tested different Java versions?

I tried Graal VM which is a very different JDK version (15 vs 17 IIRC)

 

but i might have solved my problem, im still testing and waiting for any more crashes. but i went through the times of the dump files in the SQX directory and matched them up with event viewer, they all coresponded with the same event

 

Some quick googling apparently that is causing crashes and slow downs in completely unreleated apps including non java apps, SPP is something to do with the windows antivirus, rather than disable it ive added an excemption for the SQX folder and now im just waiting to see if it crashes again

 

This could be the same problem the windows 11 guys are running into in that other thread
