Import multiple files for one pair – order matter?

Some of the data sources seperate the files by year, by month, etc. for one pair.  When I am importing these, does it matter what order I import?

Does it matter at all if, for example, I import 2015, then 2013, and then 2014?  Does the database auto-sort?  Or do I have to import in order?

Thanks,

Stearno

I believe it does not matter, I once asked Mark if I could top up old data with new data or import files where I found gaps and he said the import will insert new data where the dates are missing and update existing values where the dates already exist.

If your data ends on April 30 2015 you can “top up” with data by importing May 1 2015. Its still in order.
The main thing is it has to be in order, and you cannot import multiple series at the same time.
If there is a gap, like you import 2012, then accidentally select 2014 instead of 2013, it will warn you of the 1 year of data missing.
