I was thinking of purchasing your QuantDataManager software and am currently testing the free version but I am having problems.

Current setup

MT4:
Admiral Markets MT4
Version: 4.00 build 1361 30 Sep 2022

ACCOUNT
TopFXSC-Demo-Server

I downloaded the time series for the XAUUSD symbol.

I used the script: ExportProperties as indicated in the guide below to optimize the parameters before exporting the data with the system (FXT & HST):

Before exporting the data, I cleaned the MT4 “history” folders by removing only the useless data

After removal, the data are correctly available in the tester> history path

The backtest does not start it is not a simple warning it does not work. I tried to remove read-only from the files but the result doesn’t change.

Could the problem be caused by the MT4 version and a demo account from a different broker?

I’m disappointed the data you provide doesn’t seem to work, I don’t think I’ll buy the license if the problem is not solved.

Hi,

can you confirm you are using the latest version QDM 121? If so make sure you also use the updated ExportProperties.mq4 script. You can get the latest version https://strategyquant.com/quantdatamanager/download/

Yes I have the latest version of Quantum Data Manager.

I’m starting to think it’s my version of MT4 but still this is frustrating.

if possible try to test using different MT4 copy. Let us know if you record the same issue
