Hi

Hoping someone can help with this.

I am running strategyquant with 32GB Physical memory on Icore 7 but it appears that the program is only running on 250mb of memory as shown attached. Is the anyway I could get the program to use the full memory capacity as I’m constantly having to re-start the application to complete tests which takes alot of extra time.

Thanks

Avi

Hello,

check this https://docs.strategyquant.com/starting-sq-with-more-memory and try to start SQ using different parameters. You should definitely see more RAM size in your SQ if 32GB is installed

Hi Tomas

So how can I get the memory correct and not show 250MB but actual size.

Seems quite a big difference from 32 GB Physical memory.

Regards

Avi

Hello,

have you tried to use parameters at the start to alter memory size? You could also try a clean install of SQ3 or update your Java to another (newer) version. Let me know if any of those helped

Hi Tomas

I have tried both with no luck

1) Installed new version of SQ and run BAT file with command (StrategyQuant64.exe -J-Xmx5g)

2) Upgraded java version to Java 8 update 181

Is there anything else I can try?

Kind Regards

Avi, have you tried to run multiple SQ instances (clean installations)? Does this happen to all of them?
