I often use the ‘Strategy from Template’ option to build strategies that always include a specific rule: ADX14 > 25, for example. This always gives expected results, but when I try to add a rule in exits, so that every strategy includes that exit rule, it doesn’t work. Attached is a screenshot of the Long Exit page in SQX plus the SQX file.

This always gives expected results, but when I try to add a rule in exits, so that every strategy includes that exit rule, it doesn’t work. Whatever rule I add (EMA20 in this example) appears in the source code of the found stratgies but it has no effect. So for example even if I set a Exit after bars value of 1000 in Building Blocks, and have the EMA rising/falling as an exit, every trade exits at 1000 bars. Obviously there would have been a turn of the EMA before that, so it’s not working.
