I think I remember the older MT4 platforms had a separate Custom Indicator – Highest & a separate Custom Indicator – Lowest

Within the EA Wizard Conditions Dialog Box, under Custom Indicators,

we have a separate Custom Indicator Lowest(LOWEST) & a separate Custom Indicator Highest(HIGHEST)…

However, if those Custom Indicators are no longer available within the new MT4 platforms,

will those Custom Indicator selections still function ?

I have not tried them. I decided to use a Custom Indicator PChannel.mq4 instead…

This is still Mike H.

I would really need to know about those Conditions…

When I use the PChannel.mq4 Custom Indicator, it doesn’t show the distinction  between buffers when viewed in the Editor…

It shows as such:

           (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 0, 0)     for Entering LONG

and     (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 0, 0)     for Entering SHORT

I was testing as     (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 1, 0)     for LONG

   and                     (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 2, 0)     for SHORT

(which is relative to the way other Custom Indicators such as Envelopes or Bollinger Bands show up within the Editor)

OR                        (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 0, 0)     for LONG

            and            (sqCICheck(iCustom(NULL, 60 , “High-Low”, 55 , 1, 0)     for SHORT

but other Rules/Conditions have not been met in order to see if my changes were correct…

Please let me know about Highest(HIGHEST)        &        Lowest(LOWEST)     individually ???

Hello Mike,

if you use Lowest or Highest custom indicators in EA Wizard they are computed automatically in the EA, there is no need for external indicator file.

So you can try them, they will work.

I don’t know PChannel, so I cannot say if there’s something wrong about it, does it have more than one output value?

Thank You Mark, Yes, PChannel has an UPPER and LOWER output…

I would rather use the EA Wizard Highest(HIGHEST) & Lowest(LOWEST) Custom Indicators individually…

I want to create 5 various period EAs with said EA Wizard Conditions, 111,222,333,444,555 within H1 periods…

I will try my EAs in DEMO and note whether the results were favorable or not…

Thank You Again, Mike H.
