I created a strategy using eur/usd , well the prices were all over the place some were for example 168.99 and others were normal like 1.6899 then i had two trades on one strategy that made over a hundread thousand due to the prices being different , for example a short entered at a price of 168.65 and exited trade at 1.3815 since the decimal is for some reason in the wrong spot; it calculated the wrong profit. Im wondering why this happened , also for the data details of the currency pair what is appropriate setting for Pip/Tick Step and Pip/Tick Size ? im sure pip tick size is 0.001 but im not sure what should b set for the other , is 0.0001 the correct setting for all pairs?
for EURUSD the correct setting is Pip/Tick Size 0.0001 and Pip/Tick Step 0.00001.
They are 2 options why this happened, one is wrong data, another one is wrong values.
Check the attached pictures, you can see the values for more currencies if you will need.
