Maximum Concurrent Trades?

Hi,

Is there a function or work around to be able to limit the maximum number of concurrent trades at any one given time.

I have a large number of rules in my EA and I would like to limit the maximum number of concurrent trades to 3.

When 1 of the orders is closed then this would allow the opportunity for another trade to open.

If anyone knows of a work around that would be great.

if all your orders are the same size you could use “Current Position Size” function to check and if Current Position Size < your size limit for 3 trades opened simultaneously.

unfortunately the sizes are based off risk percentage and stop losses for each rule are different.

this will require an additional EA Wizard function. I will try to sort it out for you and let you know when ready.

New function “Total Open Positions Number” will count open positions for selected symbol and will be available with next update which should be released this week (probably tomorrow)
