Hello Mark / All ..

There are 2 things that I would like to add to my EA using EA Wizard, but not sure if this is possible?

1) – An option to close all trades is Drawdown exceeds X%.

2) – The ability to increase lot size by X for every $ of account. For example, I may want to trade 0.01 lots for every $100 in the account and it should automatically increase as the account grows.

Thanks in advance

Stefan

Hi,

1) is probably not possible to achieve since there is no function that would return max drawdown for your account. You can save account balances using Wizard variables but this data is lost when you are forced to restart MT

2) yes, this is possible

Thanks Tomas – can you expand please on how #2 would be possible?

You could do #1 by having the EA save the starting account balance to a variable each morning. Then it continually checks to make sure the current balance is not less than x% of the days starting balance. It it is, then change a bool variable to say don’t trade. Then put that bool as a check on all entry rules. Then just put a rule change that bool back to trading whenever you want to trade again (e.g. At start of next day, or start of next session, etc.) . Then put this on all your EA’s.
