state my opinion …. it is useless to run after last cpu 20,30,40,50 cores …. thinking that the combinations between building block exit entry rules stop loss trailing etc … etc are practically infinite or almost … so 1 million or 50 million strategies per hour are not enough to scan the possible combinations … if data is not pre-processed before
I repeat, this is my little opinion

The first 7 nm server CPUs from Intel are expected to launch in 2022, so desktop-grade CPUs supporting those new features will be released later on.

I have an older 16 Core Threadripper  1950x.

Looking forward to Threadripper going to 64 cores for an upgrade.

Does anyone know if the thread processing problems with windows has been resolved ?

Otherwise the new multicore processors may not see much performance improvement.

If you run  64 core processor with hyperthreading turned of SQ would use all cores. If you turned it on giving 128 threads you would have to run 2 versions of SQx with affinity splitted in taskmanager seperating the 2 versions.

If SQx could be runned in Linux you can run 128 since Linux group first after 128 it is a windows problem not SQx

there are some rumors and clues that a 64 core 3rd gen TR is in the works

the only downsides are that it will probably be very expensive and most certain you have to wait for a new version of BIOS

another alternative approach would be to buy the current 32 core 2990WX when AMD will launch the 3rd gen TR because AMD has always cut the prices with a significant amount, probably les than 1000 EUR in this case
