Hi Team,

If I have a main chart that is say hourly (this is the instrument we are trading on), but have a subchart that is a lower timeframe, say 15 minute, the trading will be done on an hourly basis, so how does it consider the sub-chart data at 15 minute intervals?

Does that mean, for the MT4 expert advisor created you would run it on EURUSD with a M15 timeframe or can the GBPUSD data at M15 interval be accessed when the main chart is H1?

My confusion is based on the fact that the indicator values on the main chart will only change every hour, so can indicator values on the lower timeframe be evaluated every 15 minutes there?

Regards,

Mike

it looks also at the smaller timeframe charts, but since it trades on H1 as the main chart, it checks the values only once in an hour – by default SQ4 trades on bar open, not every tick.

So when a new H1 bar opens it will evaluate all the conditions on H1, and all the conditions on M15 chart as well.

If you want it to trade every 15 minutes, then you should use M15 as your main chart, and H1 as subchart.
