One thing I’ve checked right now is that if I execute the StrategyQuant_nocheck.exe, then I get to run SQ otherwise I couldn’t run the program because of the error

Hello Enric,

if you can, please run StrategyQuantX.exe to reproduce the error and check the StrategyQuantX folder whether there is the InstallatorLog.txt file present. If you find it please attach or send to [email protected] so we can check what happens with developers

I’ll send you an email to the support address: I don’t find any file named InstallatorLog.txt. Maybe you meant install_log.dat?

HI Tomas

Did my weekly PC re-boots today and am now experiencing exactly the same problem reported by Enric, on both my PCs. Never experienced this problem before. See attached screenshot of Error Message & copy of install_log.dat file. Please advise how to resolve asap.

Thanks

this is most probably caused by an outdated version of StrategyQuantX.exe file, please download the latest version here: https://strategyquant.com/downloads/StrategyQuantX.exe

This new file is giving me 3 presumably false positive on virustotal. Its also about 7 times larger in size than what is currently installed in the sqx directory. Its probably fine though.

This is definitely false positive.

The file size is the same though as I am checking now …

Great! Problem solved. Though new .exe file is x7 larger than previously installed Build 126 .exe file.

Thanks
