After generating AE’s in SQX and performing SQX robustness tests, I always do backtests in MT4/MT5 to see how the EAs perform in a backtest there. However, it’s a massive task to backtest, for example, 100 EAs in MT4/MT5 – it’s practically impossible. So, I started looking for software that can perform MT4/MT5 backtests in bulk.

After much searching, I eventually found this software: https://tradingindicators.com/portfolio-backtester/. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, since you had to manually select the timeframe and currency pair for each EA, but it came close. I then sent an email to these people asking if they could add an option to test all EAs in MT4/MT5. The next day, I received an email from Daniel saying that he had built this option into the software. I tested it with 250 EAs in MT4, and it works without any issues.

I thought someone here might find this information useful, which is why I’m sharing it.
