Good day,

I’m using full version of the latest SQX installed on MacOs Catalina.

It runs great, but when trying to export a mt5 strategy, it says metaeditor.exe not found.

I installed mt5 from mql5 website, also tried running it on Playonmac and Parallels Desktop, it couldn’t find the metaeditor.exe for any of these.

Please help? 🙂

Hello,

so you use the MacOS version of SQX + MetaTrader5 installed using Parallels Desktop?

Hi,

I use the MacOS version of SQX, together with MetaTrader 5 installed via MQL website for Mac (I think it’s using crossover). MT5 opens perfectly well, so does the metaeditor,  SQX finds MT5 and the data folder, but says it cannot find metaeditor.exe.

I then installed MT5 on parallels, to see if I could get it to work, pointed sqx there, but exactly the same thing. I then installed MT5 via playonmac, and the same.

Thanks!

I see, unfortunately this is not yet working. You can export the code but not to compile using Metaeditor.exe

Dear Tomas,

Ok thank you, would I need to log a ticket or something? This is pretty much a big deal?

Cherios!
