Hello,

I used QDM v121 for a while before switching to v124.2250 due to the previous version won’t be able to export data to MT4 with current built 1441.

With QDM v124 I notice builtin info like broker profile and instruments that are related to broker profiles.

I try to add instrument and download data from Dukascopy and export to MT4 by using the same process as I usually do with QDM V121. However, when I compare the BT result, they’re different !!! I tried to switch broker profile between the one I use (ICMarket) and SQ default and instruments etc. The result still different from what I tested with QDM v121.

Notes:

1. I follow: https://strategyquant.com/doc/quantdatamanager/test-strategy-metatrader-4-tick-precision/

2. mt4.properties is generated at different year for QDM v121 and v124

3. BT was done on the same MT4 Instance, same broker, same MT4 Account, same EA, same EA Setting

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Hi, did you compare the mt4.properties files from both versions? That might be source of the difference

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don’t have old mt4.properties, so I can’t compare. However, I tried to change certain values in the current mt4.properties, and what I notice is “Swap Long and Short” value really impact to BT result !!!! and I think other parameters in mt4.properties as well.

thank you for your advise !!!

you are welcome, yes the swap values are tricky. That cost reduces final strategy profit a lot often
