Technical Questions

Dear together,

i have 2 questions:

1.

I have a pretty fast computer (Intel i5 7400 + 8 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD Harddisk) and i can see, that when im starting to use the option “building strategies” strategy quant is using around 75% processor and around 3,5 GB Ram
After 1,5 days strategy quant is using still 75% processor but 5,5 GB Ram.
Why? In the database are now around 2000 stratagies. Can it be that StrategyQuant but this strategies in the ram? If not, why strategyquant use more and more RAM?

Let me tell you a scenario:

I us as of now the option “building Strategies” and im waiting till strategyquant was putting 5000 strategies in the database.
Now i use all the test-funktions and find 6 goodones, that i us in my realmonyaccount.

As far, as good.

Now i decide to go ahead and switch on again strategyquant to search for the next proftabel strategies and now i have a question:

How i can be sure that my loved strategyquant do not find now the same strategies again, if i search again for 5000 strategies ? How i can be sure that my strategyquant find again some unique strategies and not the “old ones” that i was deleting maybe the last time already?

1) there some peformance tweaks that can be done to optimize RAM usage and generation speed. Check this https://strategyquant.com/forum/topic/2968-how-to-tune-sq-for-max-performance-and-reduce-memory-usage-by-4-to-5-times/page/5/#post-134611 if you have not done so yet

2) basically you cannot prevent SQ from creating duplicate strategies. You need to monitor the results manually and use your own discretion to filter duplicate trading logics
